My Data Visualization Process
My data visualization process begins with a deep understanding of business needs by working closely with stakeholders to identify key objectives and define success metrics. This ensures that every visualization is tailored to deliver strategic insights and drive informed decision-making. Once the goals are clear, I focus on data extraction, transformation, and preparation. Using SQL, Excel, and Power Query, I clean, refine, and integrate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. For more complex transformations, I apply Python scripting to manipulate datasets efficiently.
With well-structured data in place, I design engaging and interactive dashboards by first wireframing layouts in Figma to enhance user experience. I then build the final dashboards in Power BI and Tableau, leveraging DAX calculations, dynamic filters, and drill-through capabilities to allow deeper exploration of insights. If necessary, I incorporate geospatial mapping and trend analysis to provide additional context.
Before deployment, I conduct rigorous testing and performance tuning to optimize responsiveness. Dashboards are then published via Power BI Service or Tableau Cloud/Server, with access control, scheduled refreshes, and security settings configured to ensure seamless usage.
